One-hundred-and-forty employees of WA family-owned company Aquatic Leisure Technologies (ALT) graduated from the 24-month Think Perform LEAN training program this month.
CCI Chief Executive Deirdre Willmott attended the graduation, having previously championed the WA Government to continue supporting LEAN when it was at risk of being removed.
In delivering LEAN, Think Perform immerses itself within a business, identifies inefficiencies and then develops and implements a program to increase productivity.
For this 43-year-old business facing increasing cost pressures from overseas suppliers, LEAN underpinned a wholesale transformation of ALT’s operations and helped turn it into the nation’s largest pool exporter.
The company has invested $20 million in a new manufacturing factory in Jandakot.
